We are going over to our friends for ribs tonight. Doesn’t that sound good?! These sangrias will be perfect with those ribs. They’d also be delicious with burgers or pizza on the grill. Feel free to switch up the fruit.
1 (750 ml) bottle of red wine (I used an inexpensive Shiraz)
1/4 c. brandy
1/4 c. triple sec, orange flavored liquer
2 TBSP. fresh orange juice
1/4 c. sugar
1 navel orange, thinly sliced, then cut slices in halves or quarters
1 apple, cored, thinly sliced, then cut slices in half
1 c. fresh strawberries, hulled and halved
1 bottle of sparkling water or club soda or seltzer
Mix everything together in a large pitcher, except sparkling water. Cover and chill for at least 1-2 hours. Add sparkling water to the pitcher when you are ready to serve. Fill wine glasses with ice and pour the sangria over the ice. Garnish with fruit and enjoy! Fruity and refreshing!!!
